Schöck Isokorb®.

Thermally Protective and Load-Bearing.

Schöck Isokorb® Thermal break

Schöck offers thermal break solutions for both concrete to concrete cantilevers and steel to steel canopy connections.

Concrete to Concrete Connections

Concrete connections such as cantilever balconies are a valuable asset to any construction project, providing a higher quality of living for the residents of the building.

When a balcony slab without thermal partitioning is cast onto a building it creates a thermal bridge. Schöck Isokorb® can eliminate this problem. Effective thermal insulation using Schöck Isokorb® reduces the risk of high levels of condensation, mold formation and the associated damage caused along the ceiling slabs inside of balconies. Thermal outflow and energy loss through the balcony slab is minimized with Isokorb thermal breaks.

Steel to Steel Canopy Connections

Steel canopy connections such as entryways and sunshades provide protection from the elements, offering thermal protection and enhanced aesthetics. When a steel beam passes through the building envelope without a thermal break, the temperature differences cause condensation and energy loss. This problem can be eliminated with Schöck Isokorb®. Incorporating a structural thermal break  in the steel beam protects the building envelope and reduces the risk of condensation.
